72V 45Ah Battery for Sur Ron Light Bee | Charger + Undertray Lid Included

Up to 70 km Range · 3240Wh · 22kw peak · Plug & Play

22kW peak and 15kW continuous from 220 Samsung 50S cells, with enough range to keep you out riding when the stock battery would have had you pushing home. Charger, undertray lid replacement, and everything you need to fit and ride — all included. Ships within 7 days.

Why We Stock This Battery

Not everyone needs a 40kW race pack to enjoy their Light Bee. This isn't an EVFREAKS in-house build — it's a well-specced imported pack that we've tested and are happy to sell alongside our own batteries. For riders who aren't chasing peak discharge numbers or triple-digit top speeds, it delivers where it counts: reliable power, proper range, and clean fitment at a price that makes the upgrade a lot easier.

Cells

220 Samsung 50S cells in a 20s11p configuration. The 50S is one of the most widely used high-drain 21700 cells in the aftermarket battery world. Low internal resistance keeps heat down under load, which means you get consistent voltage through the ride rather than a strong start that fades halfway through.

3240Wh total — that's 75% more energy than the stock 1843Wh battery. If you're currently getting around 40 km from your OEM pack, expect that to stretch to around 70 km depending on your weight, terrain, and how heavy your throttle hand is.

Power

22kW peak. 15kW continuous. The peak figure is what you feel on hard acceleration. The continuous figure is what the battery actually sustains once you're riding — through climbs, sustained straights, and longer sessions. 15kW continuous is more than enough to feel a serious difference from stock, and the Samsung 50S cells keep voltage stable under that load rather than sagging as the ride goes on.

Protection

The BMS runs at 300A peak with active protection for over-discharge, short circuit, and over-temperature. It monitors the pack and shuts things down if anything goes out of range. Your cells stay safe.

Case

Stainless steel, powder coated. Protects the cells and handles the dirt, water, and impact that comes with riding a Light Bee the way it's meant to be ridden.

Fitment

Double interface discharge ports using OEM Supra Sur Ron connectors. Plugs into your existing loom with no modification. No rewiring, no adapters.

The charger connects via LP 20.

We include an undertray lid replacement so the battery compartment closes completely flush. No gaps, no spacers, no cutting. Bolt it on and you're sorted.

At 18.5 kg, you'll notice the extra power. You won't notice the extra weight.

Controller Compatibility

This battery requires an aftermarket controller. It will not work with the stock Sur Ron controller.

Compatible with widely used aftermarket controllers including ASI BAC4000, ASI BAC8000, TORP TC500, TORP TC1000, EBMX X-9000, Nucular 24F, and VTB V9600. If you're not sure which controller you need, get in touch and we'll help you pick the right setup for your riding style.

What's in the Box

  • 72V 45Ah battery (220 × Samsung 50S, 20s11p)
  • Charger
  • Undertray lid replacement

First Charge

The first charge should be a full balance charge. Connect the charger to mains power first, then connect it to the battery. Leave it for a full 12 hours on the first cycle. This ensures all cell groups are properly balanced and sets the pack up for long-term performance.
